How to Review Designs
#1 Allow a Presentation
A huge mistake in the creative process is to ask to recieve new designs or mockups via email. This should NOT happen. A presentation of new designs and mock-ups should be organized. The discussion that will ensue is incredibly valuable and it is to difficult for the creative to account for your screen size, resolution and color balance.
#2 Hear an Explanation
Good creatives can explain why they chose the colors, fonts, layouts and directions that they used. Always allow them to explain their design first, BEFORE giving any input. The key here is humility and realizing that design is subjective and therfore requires and educational process for both the creative and the leadership.
